So, uh, yeah - expect something longer than my average hiatus, but also expect something great at the end of it.

Just as an FYI, after this storyline ends, I'll likely be taking a short break. I'm extremely busy right now with a really for reals job and am having trouble maintaining the daily pace. Expect the next storyline to resume 'round the end of July.

Over the past few days, I've gotten several e-mails from fans noting that the Flint Again front page was loaded with a trojan horse virus. At first I though they were nuts, but closer inspection by Mr. Dan Shive revealed that viral coding had been slipped into the HTML file after I'd uploaded it.

As near as we can tell, this virus targeted only a certain version of Internet Explorer, which is why neither myself nor anyone on Keenspot actually noticed it was there. That said, I can't thank the folks that e-mailed me enough for bringing the problem to my attention. Everything should be resolved now and we'll be closely watching the situation to see if anything nasty pops up again. You may now read my comic in peace.

Okay, first things first - yes, I said I was gonna post those five pages, but then I realized that they were incredibly rushed, didn't jive with the rest of the comic at all, and... sucked. So try and forget about them.

Secondly, holy crud buckets, the comic is DAILY! Monday through Friday, to infinity and beyond.

Or to when I eventually crack. Whichever comes first.

Flint Again #04 is finally over, thus reaffirming the existence of God.

Soon, I'll post five pretty random pages that I drew for a project that never got off the ground, because they serve as a good lead-in to FA #05. Then, of course, I'll start posting FA #05 itself, in strip form, EVERY FRIGGIN' DAY OF THE WEEK . Except for Saturday and Sunday, 'cause that's my funday.

Here are three new pages, after over a month of waiting.

Why the month of nothing? Well, believe it or not, I actually drew a crapton of comics - you just haven't gotten to see most of them. Here's how things shook out:

* Shortly after the last update, I provided four pages of hastily scrawled art for my good buddy Petie and the Blind Date event at Comixpedia.

* After that, I threw myself into drawing five pages for Keenspot's Free Comic Book Day book. Funny story about that - I didn't finish them in time, leaving me with five penciled and inked pages that couldn't go in the book but also don't really fit online. Whoops.

* After that, I penciled and inked two pages of Andie and Martina throwing down before I realized that I couldn't draw fight scenes to save my life. Thus, I scrapped that art (as well as the layouts for the remaining two fight pages) and drew the page twenty-five that now appears online.

* I then began alternating between the next two online pages and three pages of something I'll mention in a minute.

So, as you can see, it's actually been an INSANELY BUSY month of art... you just didn't get most of it.

Now HERE'S THE REALLY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. The next update will be four pages, and they'll be up hopefully quick. After that update, you'll get the five pages I drew for FCBD. They don't really fit very well in Flint Again right now, but they serve a purpose that you'll learn later. Then, after those nine pages, sometime near the end of April, I'm returning to my roots and making Flint Again a daily comic strip.

Let me repeat that in case you weren't paying attention.

FLINT AGAIN IS BECOMING A COMIC STRIP THAT UPDATES EVERY MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

This will undoubtedly kill me, but I feel it must be done, for reasons I'd just as soon not explain right now, since this post is already way too long. In any event, enjoy, won't you?

Four pages in two-point-five weeks. That ain't bad by my standards. Sadly, I'm gonna warn you in advance that the story might stall out for a few weeks now. I need to draw five pages of something that ISN'T Flint Again for Keenspot's Free Comic Book Day '07 book by the end of February.

Lest you think I'm a total bastard, though, rest assured that those five pages will end up online as soon as they're completed. Which is to say, I'll give you something to read in good time, it just won't actually be related to this particular storyline. I think you'll like it anyway, and when Flint Again proper resumes (likely in a month's time), it'll be with four pages that kick ass (and I mean that literally).

So to recap, in two weeks, I'll put five pages online that AREN'T Flint Again, then a couple weeks after that, the current storyline will resume. Please don't hurt me.
